Questions people ask about this
How is FBA storage calculated?
On the average daily cubic feet your inventory occupies, multiplied by a monthly rate. Standard size is $0.78 per cubic foot from January to September and $2.40 from October to December. Oversize is $0.56 and $1.40. The Q4 rate is roughly three times the rest of the year.
When does the aged inventory surcharge start?
The surcharge ladder begins once stock has been in the network past six months, and reaches $0.30 per unit at twelve to fifteen months and $0.35 beyond fifteen. By that point liquidating usually beats holding, once you count the capital tied up as well as the fee.
