Amazon's own revenue calculator sits behind the Seller Central login, so it cannot answer this query for anyone who is not already selling. That is the reason a search for "amazon fba calculator" sends every click to a third party — and why so many of those third parties are running on fee data that predates 2026.

Questions people ask about this

What are Amazon FBA fees in 2026?

Two main components. A referral fee, typically 15% of the total the buyer pays, ranging from 5% to 45% by category. And a fulfilment fee based on size tier and weight — which since 15 January 2026 also depends on your selling price, through three bands: under $10, $10 to $50, and over $50. On top of the fulfilment fee sits a 3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge added in April 2026.

Why is my fee higher than another calculator says?

Most likely because that calculator has not implemented the 2026 changes. A tool that looks up one fee per weight tier and ignores the April surcharge will understate the true fulfilment fee by roughly 15 to 40 cents per unit. On a 200-unit-a-month product that is real money at the end of a year.

What margin should I target on FBA?

Most established sellers aim for 15% to 25% net after every fee, including advertising and returns. Below 10% you have no room for a fee increase, a competitor undercutting you, or a bad returns month — and all three happen.

Does this include import duty?

Enter your landed cost per unit as the cost of goods and it does. If you are importing, work that figure out on the landed cost calculator first, because since the US de minimis exemption ended in August 2025 duty is frequently a larger line item than the referral fee.

Is the referral fee charged on shipping too?

Yes. Amazon charges the referral fee on the item price plus shipping and gift wrap, not on the item price alone. Sellers who price low and charge for postage often find they have not saved anything.

Where these numbers come from

Rates and rules change, and a calculator running on stale data is worse than no calculator. Every figure below carries the date we last checked it and a confidence level, so you can judge how much weight to put on it.

Amazon FBA fee changes for 2026: three price bands From 2026-01-15 fulfilment fees split into three price bands — under $10, $10 to $50, and over $50 — instead of one fee per weight tier. Three independent sources agree. Most competing calculators still model a single fee per tier. Goat Consulting 2026-01-15 Corroborated
Amazon 3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge on FBA fees A 3.5% surcharge applied to the fulfilment fee itself, not the sale price, on FBA and Multi-Channel Fulfilment in the US and Canada from 2026-04-17 (2026-05-02 for MCF and Buy with Prime). Roughly $0.15 to $0.35 per unit on a standard item. Fast FBA 3PL 2026-04-17 Corroborated
